The Edge

  • We The People Studio 1229 North North Branch Street Chicago, Illinois, 60642 United States (map)

Urban Intimacy: The Edge is an advanced experiential workshop designed for returning practitioners, curious explorers, and couples ready to deepen their capacity for authentic connection through embodied practice. Rooted in somatics, Neo-Tantra, and trauma-informed facilitation, this immersive experience invites you to meet the places within yourself that long to be seen—not as problems to fix, but as gateways to greater freedom, intimacy, and aliveness.

Together we will explore how our shadow reveals itself through our relationships. The parts of us that hide, protect, perform, pursue, withdraw, over-give, control, or collapse often emerge most clearly in connection with others. Rather than avoiding these experiences, we learn to meet them with curiosity, compassion, and embodied awareness.

Throughout the evening you will be guided through practices that cultivate:

  • Applied somatic awareness and embodied attunement

  • Trauma-informed relational practice

  • Nervous system regulation and emotional resilience

  • Polarity dynamics and relational magnetism

  • Shadow integration through conscious witnessing

  • Mirror work and authentic self-inquiry

  • Consent as a pathway to liberation through the Wheel of Consent®

  • Courageous communication and authentic connection

Facilitated by Josephine Lauer
