Urban Intimacy : The Edge | 9-19

Shadow Play for Tantric Practitioners & Curious Couples Seeking Courageous Connection and Erotic Expansion

There comes a point on every path of self-love, soul work and healing when you have to face your Shadow.

Shadow work that goes beyond reading books, studying Carl Jung, journaling and doing medicine ceremonies, in an attempt to integrate parts of you that may have been forgotten.

True Shadow work shows up when life asks you to stay present with rejection, jealousy, longing, shame, power, desire, activations or vulnerability… can you remain open? Can you stay connected to yourself while remaining in relationship with another?

This is where practice becomes transformation.

Urban Intimacy: The Edge is an advanced experiential workshop designed for returning practitioners, curious explorers, and couples ready to deepen their capacity for authentic connection through embodied practice.

Rooted in somatics, Neo-Tantra, and trauma-informed facilitation, this immersive experience invites you to meet the places within yourself that long to be seen—not as problems to fix, but as gateways to greater freedom, intimacy, and aliveness.

Together we will explore how our shadow reveals itself through our relationships. The parts of us that hide, protect, perform, pursue, withdraw, over-give, control, or collapse often emerge most clearly in connection with others. Rather than avoiding these experiences, we learn to meet them with curiosity, compassion, and embodied awareness.

Throughout the 3-hour workshop you will be guided through practices that cultivate:

  • Applied somatic awareness and embodied attunement

  • Trauma-informed relational practice

  • Nervous system regulation and emotional resilience

  • Polarity dynamics and relational magnetism

  • Shadow integration through conscious witnessing

  • Mirror work and authentic self-inquiry

  • Consent as a pathway to liberation through the Wheel of Consent®

  • Courageous communication and authentic connection

The workshop begins with guided reflection as each participant identifies a personal edge or relational shadow currently asking for attention.

Whether your practice is learning to receive, softening perfectionism, finding your voice, navigating rejection, trusting others, releasing shame, or surrendering control, you will be supported in bringing this inquiry into conscious awareness.

From there we move into the body.

Through breath, movement, somatic practices, and emotional release techniques, participants are invited to safely mobilize and integrate stored emotional energy, allowing insight to become embodied experience rather than intellectual understanding.

Once the body has opened, we enter relational practice.

Working in thoughtfully facilitated small groups, participants engage experiential exercises inspired by the Wheel of Consent®, exploring giving, receiving, allowing, requesting, and authentic choice. These structured interactions become living laboratories where familiar relational patterns can be observed with compassion, practiced differently, and transformed through conscious connection.

Rather than performing intimacy, we practice presence.

Rather than bypassing discomfort, we discover the wisdom it carries.

Rather than perfecting ourselves, we learn to become more fully human in our vulnerability

Rather than masking, we show up fully.

Rather than suppressing desire out of fear, we claim our desires fully in freedom.

We close with the practice of Latihan, allowing spontaneous movement to arise from the body's innate intelligence, integrating the emotional, relational, and energetic experiences of the day.

Whether you attend as an individual or with a partner, you will leave with a deeper capacity to meet yourself, to meet others, and to cultivate intimacy that is grounded not in performance, but in authenticity.
