Shibari is more than rope.
Tantra is more than intimacy.

In this immersive 3-hour workshop, we weave the art of Japanese rope with Tantric principles of presence, breath, touch, and conscious connection.

Together, Somatic Intimacy Coach Josephine Lauer and rope educator Sakura (he/him) guide you into a grounded, consent-centered exploration of connection through tying.

Whether you are brand new to rope or looking to deepen your intentionality, this experience invites you to slow down, feel more, and tie with meaning.

What You’ll Experience

This is not a performance-based rope class.
This is a somatic, relational, and ritual-centered journey.

You will:

✨ Learn foundational shibari techniques (including single column tie and crab tie)
✨ Explore rope as an extension of touch, breath, and attention
✨ Practice consent as a living, embodied dialogue
✨ Discover the energetic qualities of Air, Water, Earth, and Fire in your hands
✨ Integrate tantric awareness into tying and untying
✨ Experience aftercare as intentional connection

Through guided exercises, demonstrations, and hands-on practice, we move from attention → touch → rope → breath → ritual.

Our Approach

Sakura discovered rope in 2016 and has trained with various masters of Japanese rope. His teaching emphasizes:
